The twelve read as one set

Individual strings are noisy. Read all twelve together and the noise smooths out, and a few things become visible that no single address shows.

What reading them together is good for

A single 56 character string is a small sample. Its digit count can land anywhere from five to thirteen and mean nothing, its longest run can be one or three and mean nothing, and half the alphabet can be missing from it without raising a question. Every one of those observations sits on this site somewhere, and each is accompanied by a warning not to read anything into it.

Twelve strings together are 672 characters, which is enough for the shape to appear. The digit share across the whole set is 17.71 percent against the 18.75 percent a flat draw would give. Every one of the 32 legal symbols turns up at least once. Both facts are what you would expect from twelve unrelated keys, and neither could be seen in any single string.

The other thing a set gives you is comparison. A prefix analysis needs at least two addresses and gets more informative with more of them. Sixty-six pairs is enough to say something about whether these twelve resemble each other, and the answer is that they barely do.

What it is still not good for

None of this establishes that the twelve belong together, that any of them is genuine, or that any of them leads anywhere. Statistics over characters can show that a set looks like independent random output. They cannot show who generated it or who published it.

The distinction matters because a set that passes every statistical check is exactly what a careful forger would produce. Grinding twelve unrelated addresses is trivial. It is the vanity prefix that costs money, and only for a few characters. So the correct reading of a clean set is that nothing about it is suspicious, which is a long way short of saying it is verified.

The comparison used throughoutWhere a page here says a flat draw would give a figure, it means the value you get if all 32 symbols were equally likely. That is the reference point for every distribution claim on this site.
